I will be trying out a new "scheme" today. I don't know if it will work but I'll be ^$%%^ if I don't try. I may not blog as often, but I try to a post an entry at least once a week.

Talk about being paranoid:

Two penguins from SeaWord park in CA were made to pass a metal detector in an airport. Sept 11 definitely changed a lot of things. I think this a bit of exaggeration.Poor penguins. (I'd require the Penguin(batman villain) to pass the metal detector though.

Heeeey, do i look like someone who can hijack a plane?

I am not liking this. I am not liking this at all. Is there any reason to like this a single bit? NONE. NADA.ZILCH! I don't want to act like a kid, who's throwing tantrums because his mom and dad did not buy him his favorite toy, but that's what I feel right now.

Our team just bid adieu to Ayala Tower 1 office building and moved to (teeeeet). From one of the most accessible places in Makati to the most obscure office location of our company. As of the moment, i'm typing this post on my new cube area. Well, what can I say about the journey going here? I walked for almost half an hour, going through 2 underpasses, under the sweltering heat of the sun, almost got bumped by a speeding car on the first street I have to cross, and nearly busted my eardrums by that cursed drilling beside the road. YEP, the journey was just great. And I get to do it everyday!!(yay!) Now, after some suspicious glances of the guards here, I finally made it to my cube(heaven). The place was the smallest compared to the last 2 office areas I've been into. The place is just cramped, the passageway inside the cube is just enough for a one person. I'm feeling a little claustraphobic, since my space is a little far from the window. The pantry? Consistent with the diagram given to us before, you really had to go out the room, pass through the guard, and walk to a narrow hallway before you reach it. Crap. I may need to store more stuffs on my bin. The pantry should have been a little bigger since, it's the only one in the floor. The washroom(being next to the pantry), unfortunately, is also small.(well, what do I expect?).

Sigh! I'm thinking the move to CUBAO is a better option than this, at least the place is accessible and the place is much spacious (since it's a friggin mall). The only concern was the security. The place was just teeming lowlives (heck, it's even a concern here too).

Oh well, queserasera. I've just got to deal with this. This MAY result to a better work/life style.(so hopeful).

    Friday Finally

I am just so glad that the weekdays are finally over(yay!!) . I'm looking forward to 2 days worth of rest and fun. I really can't put my finger to the reason as to why I am just so relieved. I see a lot of reasons hanging in the air but I just can't catch one of them. So weird.

I learned that a new legend is being created in Hong Kong racetrack. His name? Silent Witness. He is a race horse that's currently holding the best sprinter in the world title. He is close to breaking the current world record in consecutive wins being held by Cigar(A racehorse from Dubai). I am not fond horse racing sometimes I even despise it. Then why the talk you say?

    Wala lang.

    I just remembered Sea Biscuit.

One of my favorite movies of all time. The setting was post-depression era in America.Stocks have plunged, companies closing down, people losing jobs. Not exactly the time where you want to live. Sea Biscuit is a deformed race horse who never won a race. His owner(Jeff Bridges) used to be a bicycle repairman, who just lost his son. The trainor(Chris Cooper) is former cowboy who is loner. And of course who can forget the jockey(Tobey Maguire, the webslinger), who left his family at young age, a frustrated writer, and BLIND. You can't get any depressing than that. But as the story goes...things quite went well. The end basically tells you what stuff legends are made of.

You don’t throw a whole life away just ‘cause it’s banged up a little.

    Terrible Thursday

NYSE is merging up with another trading firm. All this mergers are shaking up the trading world. Analysts are surely rakin up money. And ordinary people couldn't care less. Trading is an interesting career ;)

Attack with the Billion Degree Dragon(and watch your opponent run like someone with is under attack and is frightened by that attack!)

WICKEEDDD! LOL! I nearly fell of my chair I saw the title of this cool comic!

ATTACK OF THE BILLION DEGREE DRAGON AND WATCH YOUR OPPONENT RUN LIKE SOMEONE WHICH IS UNDER ATTACK AND IS FRIGHTENED BY THAT ATTACK

Doesn't the title send shivers down your spine?

It's not really my cup of tea to make fun of other's english language deficiencies (is my spelling correct? heheh) since mine is no better but THIS, is just waaay too much to handle. :)

    Wednesday Worry

It's looks like that corporate take-over(mergers,aquisitions,whachamacallit) is new name of the game. Last Monday, Adobe reached a definitive agreement to acquire Macromedia for a whooping 3.4 billion. As usual, the companies stated, that this merger will certainly be advantegeous to the customers and to shareholders(of course) since they will be able to expand their technology acquire more share of the hi-tech market yada yada. This came as a surprise for me since I believe that they are not entirely in competing terms with each other, instead they complement. People are ranting especially macromedia developers since they do not know what changes this could bring to products, all they really have are speculations. (I wonder what a PDF with an embedded flash looks like nye hehehe)

I am still suffering from the Oracle's gooble-up of PeopleSoft. Harsh realities are slowly starting to sink in. I am still in a dillemma what do to next. Some people I have talked with are generously helpful but even with their experience, they are not able to give guarantees. That's undertandable. I hate this.

I think government regulations should be stiffer regarding this mergers. I maybe naive to corporate strategies and manipulations but I believe that profits are not everything. I think this is the dark side of capitalism. Mommeee Mommee, look what I just bought

    Wow Wednesday!

    HABEMVS PAPAM!

    Pope Benedict XVI

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I was not able to watch the TV late last night since I really wanted to go to the office early today.(I should have watched it instead). When I opened up CNN at lunch time, I was pleasantly surprised. The conclave is finally over! Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger is our new pope! Before the papal conclave, even before pope John Paul II's funeral mass , I already have a gut feeling that he is going to be the next pope.

May he continue Pope John Paul II's legacy of peace and unity. Primum Regnum Dei!

Great, I just included the Pope's picture with darth vader and frankenstein. Purely coincidental.
No pun intended.(The theme remains the same though)

    Tech Tuesday

I was supposed to log my rant regarding the recent acquisition of Macromedia (Flash,Dreamweaver,etc...) by ADOBE(Illustrator and the notorious Putoshop) but I need to give in to some priorities. Plus, I need to clear my head off with any emotions so as not to influence it.

Until now, my profile section is as clean as the room beside ours(The projects moved to LIBRAN, and we're following suit next week. dayum.). I decided to link my website of 2 un-updated years instead. It pretty much gives itsy-bitsy details about me. I removed some sections for a reason. I'll put them back soon as I'm done fixing the site.

Note: The website's main purpose is to pass myself as a competent IT graduate. :)
Just a little something to add to my resume.

Another take on my blog's revival..... :)

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.....
    (insert Star Wars music here)
For the past years, the dyebai blog was a chronicle of pure nonsense, illogical, baloney, gibberish, mad ramblings during the old republic.
It is then seduced by the dark side of the force and ... it died.
But it was resurrected as part of the evil empire. (And it's full of crap than ever :))

    Darth Me: Lord Dyebai

    Darth Dyebai: Yes Master?

Darth Me:RIIISSEEEE (cough...cough! that's the last time i'll do a darth sidious voice)

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com
    (breathing.....breathing......)
And so the dyebai blog was consumed by the dark force.

Star Wars 3 is still a full month month away, but the mania has already taken over the whole world. I have read an article on the net, about a guy living outside a movie house just to be ensure he get's to see it on the first day. Last time I heard about him, the local police is thinking throwing him out the sidewalk for sanitary and security reasons. Poor dude. Here's another one, star wars fans already lining up in a movie house in LA for days, when fox studio decided to open it somewhere else. Talk about major bummer.
Anyway, I found a link to a website which shows awesome screens from the movie. I have to warn you though, it contains heavy spoilers! I mean REAL HEAVY SPOILERS.
Remember my young padawan, discipline is the first virtue you must learn on the path to becoming a Jedi knight.

I give in to the dark side of the force

By the way, on the image above, I just noticed darth vader's arms were a littly stumpy compared to his body. hehee la lang.

    random babble:

What is a dyebai? Why does it rhyme with a Jedi? It it something you watch in a movie? While eating a cookie?

    crap. i suck at poetry

That's it for now. I'll have to load my flash light a new pair batteries for some jedi sword fights tonight.

te te te di tete di tete (insert star wars theme again)

Live my blog! Live! LIIIIVEEEE! (doing my best imitation of Victor Frankenstein)

Mary Shelly's Frankenstein movie was a great watch. (Missed those times when I still had HBO)

Helena Bonham Carter's messed up face(as Elizabeth) still gives me the creeps.

    its alive.
